World Mental Health Day

One in five Australians experiences mental illness each year.

In data collated by the Diversity Council Australia (DCA), in any one year, around 1,000,000 Australian adults suffer from depression, and a further 2,000,000 suffer from anxiety.

Each year through absenteeism, reduced productivity, and compensation claims, untreated mental health conditions cost Australian employers $10.9 billion.

For every workplace dollar spent towards effective actions on mental health, there are on average $2.30 worth of benefits gained.
It takes the contribution of everyone in order to fulfil our legal obligations to minimise risks to both physical and psychological health in all of our workplaces.

Consolidated continues our commitment to improving health and safety in our workplaces in recognition of World Mental Health Day on 10 October 2017.
