Our History

1970s - 1990s

1977

Consolidated Cleaning Services was founded by John and Mary Grant, providing local businesses with a quality, great value cleaning service.

1980

In the 1970s and 80s the company Head Office is based in South Caulfield with only 50 – 100 employees, providing cleaning services to office and education clients.

1985

The company started servicing large office blocks in the Melbourne CBD and also commenced servicing retail shopping centres.

1990s

During the 1990s, Consolidated expanded its business in retail in addition to commercial office.

2000 - Current

2001

In 2001, Consolidated Cleaning Services changes its name to Consolidated Property Services to better reflect the integrated property solutions offered.

2012

In 2012, Consolidated is awarded its first contract in Sydney’s CBD and established a NSW Headquarters. This is closely followed by the opening of its Adelaide business.

2015

Consolidated deploys its first fleet of robotic floor scrubbers within a major retail shopping centre.

2019

In 2019, Consolidated achieves its first 6 Star NABER’s Waste Rating in collaboration with its commercial client. During that year, Consolidated introduces GPS beacon technology and on demand cleaning services to key clients.

2022

Consolidated is the first Australian Cleaning Company to offer an opt-in carbon-neutral cleaning service certified by Climate Active.

2023

IIn September 2023, Consolidated became a part of Bidvest Services International - an international services, trading and distribution company, listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), South Africa and operating across four continents.
